Task3


There are many people in the world living on fishing. The graph shows the number of fishermen for different regions between 1970 – 1980 and 2000 also the table shows the world’s top ten exporters of fish in 2000.
In the graph, the highest number of fishermen is in Asia on the other hand Africa has the lowest. The number of fishermen in Asia increased rapidly from 12 million to 26 millions in the years 1970 – 2000. In Africa was slight decrease during the years 1970 – 1980 from 13 million to 9 million and also it was fall throughout the period 1980 – 2000 from 9 million to 3 millions. The number of fishermen in South America leveled out at approximately 8 million throughout the period 1970 – 2000. The number of fishermen in North America increased rapidly from 5 million to 15 million in the years 1970 – 1980 and from 1980 – 2000 the number remained the same. The number of fishermen in Europe fluctuated approximately 13 million in the years 1970 – 2000. In the table, the highest exporter was Thailand. However the last country in the table was South Korea. The order was Norway, USA, China, Denmark, Canada, Taiwan, Russia and Indonesia.
In conclusion, many people in the world living on fishing. Asia had highest number of fishermen on other hand Africa had the lowest.
